FIRST® Team 1647: The Iron Devils

This is the web site for the Iron Devils, FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Team 1647. The team is comprised of students from Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ and Seneca High School in Tabernacle, NJ.

The team is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting the Lenape Seneca FIRST Robotics District Competition on March 23-25, 2013 at Seneca High School in Tabernacle, NJ. Team members are already hard at work to make this year's event even more exciting than last years!

The goal of the Iron Devils is to inspire high school students to be excited about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers and to give them the tools that they will need to become leaders in these fields. The students are given a new game to play each year, and have six weeks to design, build, and program the robot to be successful on the competition field. The students are assisted in their endeavors by mentors who help the students to grow their technical knowledge, self-confidence, and leadership skills.
